KLU PHOTO VIDEO SECOND AND THIRD VIDEOGRAPHER AGREEMENT 

KLU PHOTO AND VIDEO have an agreement for second and third videographers because all of our video packages have a standard second videographer. We input this agreement so our new videographers are aware of our team’s policy.

Some weddings there will be 3 videographers

I agree to work for KLU PHOTO AND VIDEO and it partners. The contracted rate is agreed upon by both parties before the acceptance of the job. Fees may vary for each job; there is no set contract rate. Fees, payment arrangements, and expectations; paid or not, are to only be discussed in e-mail or put in writing to avoid any miscommunications.

Payment:

Second and Third Videographer that is fully equipped with Sony Equipment. If you shoot Canon or Lumix, we discuss prior to hiring.

6 hour wedding day: $400

8 hour wedding day: $550

10 hour wedding day: $650

Second and Third Videographer that is NOT fully equipped

6 hour wedding day: $250

8 hour wedding day: $350

10 hour wedding day: $450

Taxes:

You are required to file as self-employed each year. We will not send you a 1099 or be respo

We shoot a lot of Vietnamese and Chinese weddings with early start time and late end time. Sometime it might be 2 days: You will be hired at a flat day rate. 

Rules of Conduct

 1. Uniform and Introductions

Each associate is to wear a presentable and professional uniform as stated in this contract. If you show up for a job and are not wearing said uniform you will be asked to return home and change. Our attire is business casual, wear a black sleeved shirt, with no graphics, and not low cut (or given KLU PHOTO AND VIDEO MERCHANDISE). Black slacks or pants, no shorts, or Capri’s or low-cut pants allowed. Wear comfortable footwear, sneakers are only allowed if black or black and white, no open toed shoes. Make sure they are comfortable; you will be on your feet all day. Please have good hygiene, and please keep perfumed cosmetics to a minimum.  Please introduce yourself to client if I am not with you during arrival. 

2.Time 

Kalvin will give you an arrival time, please BE ON-TIME. Each event is different, some events last longer than anticipated. Please If you are being paid hourly, make sure you express to the Kalvin and get in writing before you leave the agreed upon hours worked. We recommend not to accept the job if you have other plans on the day of the wedding. 

 3. Copyright "your rights to the footages" 

All rights to photos taken at any event are property of KLU PHOTO AND VIDEO. We have a contract and model release with the client; releasing their footage to KLU PHOTO AND VIDEO only. Footages are to be used for portfolio and resume use only and cannot appear anywhere online or anywhere the public can see without labeling that the footages were taken under KLU PHOTO AND VIDEO. At no time may you profit by or represent any footage taken under KLU PHOTO AND VIDEO employment as your own. If you want to use any image from the shoots, it must have KLU PHOTO AND VIDEO written permission. 

4. Conduct 

Be respectful of Kalvin and his partner videographer’ role as lead videographer. Assistants are expected to assist the videographer first, and shoot second. Make sure you stay with your Kalvin or partner at all times, unless instructed to do otherwise. Do not argue or undermine our partners at any time. If you have your own personal videography business, at no time throughout the wedding may you hand out personal business cards or mention your videography business name or try to pull clients. You may not drink alcohol or smoke during a wedding. If any of this happens it is grounds for immediate termination. 

  • You are required to direct the clients for video poses, If you have a casual conversation with them, then conversation must be neutral, no religion, sexual or politics, and must be positive conversation.

  • Do not make a negative comment about anyone at a wedding, there is always someone listening and that thing you say will get back to the groom and bride. 

5. Transportation and Travel

You are required to have your own transportation if it's a Sacramento area wedding. We will reimburse you for parking only. Some weddings you are required to travel to multiple locations.  If it is an out town wedding, you are required to carpool with Kalvin and his partners if you live in Sacramento. No travel reimbursement if you decide to travel on your own to the wedding. If you do not live in Sacramento, you have to provide your own transportation. If you do not live in Sacramento, you are required to have your own transporation. 

Since videography has alot of equipment, We recommend carpooling as a team. Please be aware of travel time due to traffic when commuting. 

6. Timeline and Changes

You are required to adapt to any changes at the wedding. Failure to adapt can lead to dismissal or decrease in pay. 

7. Second and Third Videographer Requirements:

  • Must have 2 Sony bodies with 24-70 and 70-200. Tamron lenses are fine.

  • Gimbal or Monopod

  • operate drone with asked

  • Focus on A roll if asked, shots like bride, groom, parents, bridal party, family, walks into the ceremony and reception

  • Pose and Direct Groom when groom prep. We will train you our style before our wedding

  • Audio ready for the groom if Kalvin or partner videographer is busy with the bride.

  • Set up tripod for ceremony

  • Set up lights at reception

  • Shoot details

  • Guest reactions

  • Candids 

7. Recording times:

 Please do not shoot small clips during the ceremony, grand entrance, first dance, father and daughter dance, mother and son dance, and speeches. Shoot min 5-10 minutes each clip. 

Each wedding and film we deliver to our clients are different, you are required to meet with Kalvin and partner videographers before the wedding to discuss the client mood board and camera settings/shot list, etc. We film and edit each wedding the music the client is asking for. 

8. Delivering of footages

 You will either be shooting with provided memory cards or your own. PLEASE BRING TWO SD CARD ON YOUR END AS BACK UP. If shooting on your own we will download the pictures onto my computer immediately after the wedding. If shooting with provided cards you will give the card back to Kalvin or partner videographer immediately after the shoot ends.

9. Loss of Footage or Damage Created

If there is a loss of footage taken at a wedding, it is at the discretion of your Kalvin whether you will receive your final payment. It is recommended you get liability insurance, if you cause damage at a wedding that requires replacement or punitive damages, you will be on your own. You are being hired as a private contractor and are responsible for your own actions. 

10. Notice

A minimum of 2 weeks notice or equal replacement is required if you are unable to assist for a wedding. If you cannot give a 2 weeks notice for an excusable absence you will be bumped down to the bottom of the list. If your absence is not excusable, or after your second offense your services will no longer be needed. If you do not give notice and do not show up for a wedding, you are subject to revocation of this contract.
